Theory of the firm, theory of strategy, management choices, managers` mindsets
Abstract
This study aims to contribute to the enrichment of the Theory of Corporate Strategy, through the connection between the Theory of the Firm and autonomous management choices. To this end, it reviews an important dynamic framework on the Theory of Strategy in which management choices are, naturally, a fundamental variable. By maintaining that pure (autonomous) management choices can be explained within the framework of the Theory of the Firm concept, it analyses relevant elements of this theory, identifying the dimensions that influence pure management choices and deductively integrating the Theory of the Firm into the Theory of Strategy.
